Michelle Bacon
Owner, Fellow Chartered Accountant, Registered Tax Agent
Michelle joined the firm in December 2005, became a Partner in July 2018, then progressed to full ownership in July 2026. She holds a Bachelor of Business and Commerce degree, majoring in Accounting. She completed her Chartered Accountant post-graduate degree in December 2013. She has qualifications in SMSF personal advice and strategic management & risk and continues to develop her skills.
Her client base includes primary producers, retail businesses, accommodation providers, tradespeople along with many other small businesses. Michelle also manages SMSF preparation, centrelink advice and all aspects of the business.
Michelle is also involved within the community taking on committee roles for local non profit organisations. Michelle enjoys short trips away and family time with her two children.
Peter Tilley
Managing Partner, Chartered Accountant (Fellow), Registered ASIC Auditor, Registered Tax Agent
Peter started with the firm in May 1997 and has been the Managing Partner since that date. He has a large client base in the primary production, retail, medical, accommodation, engineering, building, service and government sectors.
His vast experience in all aspects of accounting including taxation, estates, superannuation including SMSF’s, Centrelink , financial analysis and planning has been developed over this time. He is also the auditor for a wide range of bodies including estate agent trust accounts, associations, not-for profit bodies and SMSF’s and is registered with ASIC as both a company auditor and a SMSF auditor.
He is involved within the community being a Rotarian, a director of a local Community Bank.
Sandy Prain
Bookkeeper
With 17 years of experience in the accounting industry, Sandy has been a valued member of the firm since 2009.
She holds a Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping and is currently completing her Diploma of Accounting. Sandy specialises in the preparation of Business Activity Statements, business financial statements, and income tax returns for individuals and businesses, along with providing HR and payroll support.
She is passionate about building strong client relationships and helping clients feel organised, supported, and confident in managing their financial affairs.
Naomi Dunne
Bookkeeper
Naomi has 23 years’ experience in the accounting and bookkeeping sector working both in accounting firms and large privately owned corporations in the Australia, UK and New Zealand. She came home to South Gippsland in 2013 and assists many clients regularly with their needs. She also has a sound knowledge of accounting programs.
Juliet Brown
Office Administration
After completing her Certificate 3 in Business Administration, Juliet has been working in Office Administration for the past 18 years, three of those in South Gippsland after relocating from the Mornington Peninsula.
Alastair Straw
Bookkeeper
Alastair joined our firm in February 2024 he is a dedicated Bookkeeper at Duesbury Accountants Foster, currently completing a Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping.
He plays a key role in reviewing Business Activity Statements (BAS) for a wide range of clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance with ATO requirements.
Jade Storr
Bookkeeper
Jade joined our firm in August 2024. With a strong background in finance, payroll and community engagement, Jade brings both precision and dedication to her role as a bookkeeper at Duesbury Gippsland. She has previously worked as a Payroll Officer/Accounts Manager at Prom Country Aged Care and at a local Real Estate Agency, as a Sales Assistant and Accounts Manager.
In addition to her professional experience, Jade is actively involved in the local community. She coaches local basketball, netball and involved within the community taking on finance and/or committee roles for local non profit organisations. Her organisational skills and financial insight are a valuable asset to both her workplace and community.
A long-time Foster resident, Jade is married with four children and enjoys the balance of work, family, and giving back to the local area.
